Family-owned businesses are the lifeblood of any community, but, as we all know, many are struggling to survive the pandemic, and need our support.
To shine a light on many of the restaurants and shops in Marshall Square, Latinos Progresando has launched a Shop Local campaign to beautify our main corridors with storefront window art, weekly sidewalk cleaning and new pole banners–and with the support of private donations, all at no cost to the business owner.

Team Latinos is hard at work training for the 2024 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, but they need your help to cross another finish line! Each year, every one of our team members makes a commitment to fundraising to support Latinos Progresando’s mission.
If you have a family member, a friend or colleague running, or just want to do something nice, make a gift toward a runner’s campaign. Every dollar goes directly to LP’s work in the community.
Latinos Progresando has provided high-quality, affordable immigration legal services for 20 years. Beyond our doors, we also offer community education on immigration process and policy, and build the capacity of the immigration legal sector by delivering operations-focused training and technical assistance for emerging and expanding providers.
Identifying needs and working together to address them—that’s what community is all about. With a collaborative of 30 institutional partners called the Marshall Square Resource Network, neighborhood families and supporters from across the city, we’re working on making the southwest side of Chicago safer, healthier and stronger.
In our office environment and in our events, we celebrate the culture of our clients and staff. Through the arts, and our signature speaker series, MEX talks, we’re telling our story, from our perspective.

May 25, 2023 marked the anniversary of George Floyd’s murder, and the civil unrest that followed was the inspiration for the Excellerator Fund.
The Excellerator Fund is a collaborative effort between our organizations–Greater Auburn Gresham Development Corporation and Latinos Progresando–to reimagine investment in Chicago’s Black and Mexican communities. Read more »
