MEX talks
Latinos Progresando created MEX talks in 2012 to highlight the history, culture and contributions of Mexicans and Mexican Americans in the United States. An annual speaker showcase, MEX talks brings a diverse range of Mexican voices to the stage to share stories and inspire future generations.
Leadership & Advocacy
LP collaborated with five other Mexican-led organizations to publish Fuerza Mexicana: The Past, Present and Power of Mexicans in Chicagoland, with research conducted with UIC’s Great Cities Institute. The report resulted in a series of policy recommendations, which shape LP’s advocacy efforts.
Excellerator Fund
A partnership with Greater Auburn Gresham Development Corporation to reimagine investment in Chicago’s neighborhoods by making community-led grants to Black and Mexican-led organizations, supporting Black and Mexican leadership, and building bridges across communities.
