1. What is the name of your organization, and where is it located?

Erie Neighborhood House. Located at 1701 W Superior St in Chicago, IL.

2. Could you provide a brief overview of your organization and its mission?

Erie Neighborhood House, in Chicago, has been serving the community since 1870, originally founded as a ministry of Holland Presbyterian Church and later becoming part of the settlement house movement inspired by Jane Addams. Its mission is to empower Latinx immigrants and families of all backgrounds, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion while providing essential services to help communities thrive.

3. What services does your organization offer? 

Erie Neighborhood House reaches about 20,000 people every year through a wide range of services including programming for: Legal Services Mental Health & Community Wellness Children & Youth Adult Education & Training Community Resources & Empowerment.

4. How did you learn about the Marshall Square Resource Network, and what motivated you to get involved?

We first learned about the MSRN through our work at Erie Neighborhood House, and it's become one of the most valuable ways we connect with partners across the neighborhood to expand access to critical programs and services. A strong referral network is essential to that work — MSRN gives us the structure to learn from other organizations, hear directly from the community about what it needs, and build real and lasting relationships with the people doing this work every day. Erie House is grateful to serve on the steering committee, where leaders from across the network come together to provide high-level guidance and shape strategic direction based on member feedback.
